Case: J-02 Blackout, Black case combined with pen rail and weight from Raw case

Switches: SKCL Green, either NOS with Sprit 40 cn springs in them in a pom plate, or 9/10 quality harvested with stock springs in a carbon fiber plate; both oiled with 105g0

Plate: 1.2mm Delrin (POM) or 1.2mm Carbon Fiber

PCB: Steezy60 by 4pplet

Keycaps: Combination of MY Riport and IBM 5140 keycaps, both thick Alps Electric PBT

 

Designed as a modern classic keyboard case, the J-02 stands out with its forehead, integrated mid-case weight, and matching pen rail. For builders working with Alps switches, it also offers surprisingly generous internal volume; an uncommon trait in compact metal 60% boards. The result is an unexpectedly full and resonant Alps sound switch sound.

The raw aluminum highlights on this case seemed made to go with the silvery My Riport keycap set, and a reverse contrast set of 5140 mods seemed a good compliment.  As usual an ISO 5140 set was combined with a BAE set in order to get a 2u backspace with the stepped enter.
